It’s no secret that the world is ready for real-time payments (RTP). The requirement to build fast, flexible and secure payments systems is a top priority. For businesses big and small, RTP will have immediate benefits. Besides the guarantee of immediate settlement finality, there is also the potential for merchants to reduce card acceptance costs more broadly, effectively by cutting out the middleman. Phil will provide an overview of RTP and how it will assist Canadian SMEs in the future.

He is a Payments Executive focused on Information Technology with an extensive background in strategy development, service improvement, and strategic alliance management. Prior to joining Everlink, Phil held executive roles at Moneris Solutions, Rogers Wireless, and Bell Canada and is a sought after international speaker and most recently was a Keynote Speaker at Seamless Payments Africa in Cape Town where he discussed the growth of FinTechs and the race to own the payments system.
