Annual General Meeting

One of the biggest benefits of being a member of Valley Credit Union is that, as a member, you are a shareholder. As such, you are entitled to influence and be informed on how we operate. We make our practices and decisions transparent and accountable to both you and our Board of Directors - which is made up of member like you, by the way. At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) we report on the past year’s events, detail our financial position, and inform you on plans for the upcoming year. We also have a lot of fun!

What can you expect at the AGM?

  • A review of how we performed in 2018; includes a review of financial statements and community support efforts.
  • New board members are announced, if applicable.
  • Staff service award presentations.
  • An appreciation gift for all attendees.
  • Themed business member presentations (more details below).
  • Refreshments; free nibblies and networking after the meeting.

Every year we create a theme for the AGM and this year’s theme is “Rooted in Community”. The idea is to have community-focused organizations/businesses from across the Valley present on who they are, how they help their communities, and how people can access their services or participate in programs, events, etc.

Our presenters include:

Coldbrook and District Lions Club

Owners and operators of the Valley Drive In Theatre, the Coldbrook and District Lions Club will tell us all the exciting news about upgrades to the Drive-In and all the wonderful things they do for the community with the proceeds.

Valley Regional Hospital Foundation

Originally formed to raise money to help build Valley Regional Hospital, come hear how they rely on and pull together our Annapolis Valley communities to ensure we are always improving the hospital's equipment and available services.

Annapolis County Ground Search and Rescue

Annapolis County Ground Search and Rescue's mandate is to locate and rescue lost persons within the County of Annapolis. Come hear about the wonderful and invaluable service they provide, how to you can become involved, and access their services should you ever need them.
