Bring Your Community Project to Life with Local Funding

Local groups, non-profits, and volunteers can apply for funding to support projects in the Annapolis Valley. We’re here to support the work you’re already doing. Apply for funding, track your progress, and share your impact, all in one place with our partners on the Do Some Good platform.

Who Can Apply?

Our approach is simple. Valley Credit Union gives back to our members by supporting community groups, non-profits, and local initiatives that make a difference. If you're part of the credit union and working on a project that strengthens our community, you can apply for funding. Not sure if you qualify? Talk to us. We’re happy to help.

Valley Credit Union’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) Committee supports local initiatives in education, sports, health & wellness, and environmental stewardship.

Funding Priorities:

Youth education
Community sports
Health initiatives

Application Details:

  • Open to members only (non-profits & charitable organizations are prioritized)
  • Applications are accepted annually
  • Submit requests at least 30 days before your deadline
  • We do not fund: individuals, political causes, or projects outside the Annapolis Valley

Sponsorships and community support at Valley Credit Union are managed across branch, corporate, CSER committee, and Board levels. Branches focus on local initiatives, corporate support benefits the Annapolis Valley, and the CSER Committee addresses larger requests. With a strong commitment to our community, our staff love to give back through fundraisers, donations, and participation in local events. We’re proud to support our members, small businesses, and local non-profits.

Valley Credit Union maintains ongoing partnership relationships with several community centers and complexes in the Valley, including the Credit Union Rec Complex in Kentville and the Credit Union Centre Arena in Kingston NS. We proudly support organizations whose values and services align with those of our membership and the communities we serve.

Through acts of kindness and paying-it-forward, we can support community well-being creating a ripple effect of positive change, supporting the people and initiatives that make our communities stronger.
