Enter to win 2 tickets to the Annapolis Valley Exhibition in Lawrencetown, happening August 17–22. This contest is exclusive to Valley CU members, and there are 10 pairs of tickets to win. 

Prize draws are scheduled to take place on:
  • July 30, 2026 – 2 winners
  • August 6, 2026 – 4 winners
  • August 13, 2026 – 4 winners

CONTEST DATES: July 28 – August 13, 2026 at 4:01 PM AST. Random draws will take place on or around 4:30 PM on the following scheduled dates: July 30 (2 winners), August 6 (4 winners), and August 13 (4 winners).

PRIZES: There are ten (10) prizes, each consisting of two (2) single-day admission tickets to the Annapolis Valley Exhibition (AVEX) in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, taking place from August 17 – 22, 2026. No cash value. Tickets will be provided electronically. If your name is not selected as a winner, your entry will remain in the ballot box for the next scheduled draw date. Valley Credit Union (Valley CU) will contact you for the purposes of the contest only if you are selected as a prize winner. 

HOW TO ENTER: Please complete this online ballot form: AVEX Contest Information – Fill in form or enter in writing by email. Not open to Valley CU employees and immediate family members.

NOTE: There is no age restriction to attend the AVEX; however, entries can only be submitted by and prizes can only be awarded to legal residents of Nova Scotia who are 19 years of age or older and a Valley CU member. A skill-testing question must be answered correctly to claim the prize. Entry into the AVEX is at the sole discretion of the event organizers.

Photo Contest

Show us your love for the Valley! Submit your best Annapolis Valley photo for a chance to be featured on the cover of our 2027 Valley Credit Union member calendar. The winning photographer will receive $50, a framed copy of the calendar, and the chance to have their work showcased across our community.

How the contest works:

  • Contest opens August 4 and closes August 21, 2026
  • You’ll be asked to sign in or create an online Do Some Good account profile (its quick and easy!)
  • Upload your photo (max of 3)

Contest Dates: August 4 - August 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM ADT. 

Limit one (1) entry per person. A max of three (3) photos. No purchase necessary. To enter by email, please send your full name, address, phone, and photos with the town/city and story to: marketing@valleycreditunion.com

The Prize: There is one (1) prize consisting of a $50 pre-paid card, a framed copy of the winning calendar cover, and the winning photograph featured on the cover of the 2027 Valley Credit Union Calendar. A skill testing question and confirmation of acceptance is required.

Short Rules: This contest is open to everyone, excluding Valley Credit Union staff, board members and their immediate families. Photos must be digital files and in horizontal orientation or have the ability to be cropped. File types accepted are .jpeg, .png or .tiff and should be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI). There is a max upload file size of 20 MB. If your photo does not meet those requirements, you may be asked to submit another copy directly by email. Photos should be family-friendly in nature and not feature any imagery of alcohol, cannabis, an illegal act, or product branding. Landscapes, nature, and landmarks are preferred from the communities served by Valley Credit Union in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.

Voting: Entries will be judged by a committee of Valley Credit Union staff on quality, composition, creativity, and how well the image represents the communities of the Annapolis Valley. The committees decision is final.

Release: By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Valley Credit Union Ltd. from any liability arising from participation in the contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.


Photo Terms and Conditions: By agreeing to the photo terms and conditions and submitting a photo, I acknowledge and agree to grant Valley Credit Union Ltd. (Valley CU) a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use and display any photograph(s) I submit for the 2027 Calendar Cover Photo Contest (the contest) for marketing, advertising, promotional, and other business purposes.

I understand that Valley CU may crop or alter the photo(s) for formatting purposes, provided the integrity of the original content is maintained. I retain ownership of the photo(s), but Valley CU may use the photo(s) for marketing and promotional purposes, but is not obligated to, credit the photographer.

If any individuals or faces are recognizable in the submitted photo(s), I confirm that I have obtained the necessary consent and/or model releases from those individuals (or their parent/legal guardian if under the age of 19) for the use of their image in connection with this contest and related marketing and promotional purposes. Submissions must be original photographs and may not be wholly or substantially generated using artificial intelligence. Standard photo editing, including colour correction, exposure adjustments, cropping, and minor retouching, is permitted.

I affirm that I am the original creator and owner of the submitted photo(s) and that the photo(s) do not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright, or privacy rights.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Valley Credit Union Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from a breach of these representations or from the use of my submitted photograph(s) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Additionally, I give permission for Valley CU to contact me by email (or phone) in relation to the 2027 Calendar Cover Photo Contest, based on the information I provided.

Valley Credit Union reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these rules or that it considers inappropriate or inconsistent with the spirit of the contest.

Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority and must be personal account holders with a participating Canadian credit union offering Interac® debit cards and/or digital debit wallet functionality. Earn 1 entry per eligible debit card by making 5 eligible Interac® debit transactions of at least $5 each (including tax) on 5 separate calendar days between July 1 – August 31, 2026 (“Contest Period”).   1. ELIGIBILITY: Valley Credit Union’s “Logo Launch Celebration” contest (the “Contest”) is open to people who meet the following requirements: you must (i) be a resident of Nova Scotia, (ii) if you are under the age of eighteen (18) have had a parent or guardian eighteen (19) years of age or older at the time of the draw read and accept the rules and regulations. Entrants are not eligible to participate in the Contest if they are: a) Employees or Board Members of Valley Credit Union. Valley Credit Union reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant in its sole discretion.

  1. PRIZES:

One (1) Weekend camping site and two (2) weekend passes for the Fox Mountain Music Festival, Aylesford August 1-2, 2025 (approx. retail value $250)

One (1) Summer at Movies at the Valley Drive-In. Includes a five (5) carload passes, that can be redeemed as desired or each month from May-September. (approx. retail value $125)

One (1) Family Pass to the Annapolis Valley Exhibition, Lawrencetown (approx. retail value $90)

The Prize must be accepted as awarded, and may not be assigned, transferred, substituted exchanged, refunded or redeemed for cash value. If circumstances are out of our control, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value.

  1. NOTIFICATION AND QUALIFICATION OF SELECTED ENTRANTS:

Selected entrants will be notified by phone or email via the name provided at the time of entry. No communication or correspondence will be entered into, except with selected entrants, who will have 48hrs to accept the prize or it will be awarded to a new winner.

To be confirmed a Winner, the selected entrant must: Complete a skill testing question, and sign a release form confirming they accept the prize as awarded.

  1. AWARDING OF PRIZES:

Prize will be made available in-branch to confirmed Winner, at the branch location of choice. The Winner is solely responsible for all expenses which are not included in the Prize description above.

By accepting a prize in this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, voice, photograph, image or likeness in any publicity or advertisement carried out by Valley Credit Union in connection with this Contest without any further compensation.

PRIZE PACKAGE: There are three (3) prizes of $200 each ($100 for the prize winner and $100 to be directly donated to a non-profit or charity of choice, as registered with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies). Valley Credit Union reserves the right to issue pre-paid cards or gift cards to a local business or make a direct deposit to the winner’s savings account, at the discretion of Valley Credit Union. No cash value. A direct donation to the charity of choice will be made in the winner's name, and the opportunity to participate in the donation presentation will be at the discretion of the prize winner or their legal guardian/parent.

HOW TO ENTER: An online entry form/ballot must be submitted to count as one (1) ballot entry. Classrooms/schools must pre-register, subject to approval by Valley Credit Union. Bonus entries can be earned by being a Valley Credit Union member in good standing or by posting a photo of your submission on Valley Credit Union's Facebook contest post. If you tag the post in a public post, you may also earn a bonus entry, but the privacy setting must be public for it to count. If the post is not public, we cannot see or share it.

NOTE: There is no age limit for the contest; however, the prizes will only be awarded to legal residents of Nova Scotia who are 19 years of age or older. Parental or legal guardian consent is required to enter. A skill-testing question will also be required.
