    Skip your loan payment and help fund breakfast and snack programs for local students in your community.

    Valley Credit Union's Skip a Pay holiday program can help you stretch your budget and help your community. Your request must be submitted to your branch prior to the skip payment date and is subject to approval. There is a $20 processing fee for each loan payment skipped - of which $15 will be donated to support local school breakfast and snack programs in your community.

    Holiday Skip a Pay FAQs

    Apply to skip your November or December payment.
    Members who are paid current on all of their Personal Loans and Lending products and have not caused the credit union loss. Other restrictions may apply. Valley Credit Union has final approval on all payment deferments and reserves the right to modify the program, or any aspect of the program at any time without notice.

    All applications are subject to approval and must be submitted by December 12, 2025.
    Personal loans and vehicle loans qualify. However, first or second mortgages or home equity loans are not eligible. Please speak to your branch directly for full details.
    Yes, there is a $20 non-refundable processing fee to skip a payment. During this Holiday Offer, Valley Credit Union will donate $15 of the $20 application fee to the charity of choice.
    Yes. However, automatic payments you have set-up at other financial institutions or scheduled may require additional time to be cancelled.
    Interest will continue to accrue on your loan during the skipped period. Your loan repayment schedule will be extended and your final loan payment amount will change due to the accrued interest. Deferring your payment will result in paying additional interest. Any creditor insurance previously purchased through us to cover the loan will expire as specified on the original enrollment form.
